Beauty Routine: My Everyday Favorites

I've gotten a lot of requests for more beauty content, which I typically do only sparingly when I've tried some new products and want to share. In an Instagram poll I did a few weeks ago, I asked whether you wanted to hear more about my daily routine or new products I've been trying and the overwhelming response was my daily routine. I used to wear super heavy foundation in my teens and then when I was 21 I had a cosmetic saleslady at Neiman's tell me that what I was using was way too much for someone my age. Since then, I've been using a lightweight moisturizer and concealer where I need it and my skin has cleared drastically. I've also become a huge fan of the company Glossier. When they recruited me to be a rep for them I was more than flattered because their boy brow product is one of my favorite things ever. You can find a list of my favorite products from them on my rep page here.

Anyway, I've become a huge fan putting skincare first and wearing as little make up as possible.

Below, I've outlined my skin care routine and the makeup products I use on a daily basis. If you have any questions about products you can always DM me on Instagram :)

Skin Prep:

Simple Micellar Water-  I typically start/end my day with this stuff. It's super gentle and I've been using it for years.

Tata Harper Face Cleanser 0r Ole Henriksen Pore Scrub

So calling the Tata Harper Face Cleanser a part of my routine is probably a stretch because I've only been using it for about a week now, but I do love it. I have been alternating between that and this scrub- which I have been using for about 6 months now. It's exfoliating but not too rough on my skin.

Kiehl's Daily Reviving Concentrate/ or Sunday Riley Juno Face Oil

I was intimidated to use face oils on my skin but a little over two years ago I went on a trip were the expected temperatures were below freezing so I bought this Kiehl's oil as an experiment. I loved it so much I continued using it after I returned and it's become a part of my daily routine! I love it. On days where my skin is dry I'll use this Sunday Riley oil (pricey, but lasts for a while). It moisturizes really well and also gives you an instant glow.

Boscia Moisturizer- I'm religious about using SPF every day. This moisturizer is so great I gave some to my mom and sister in their stockings last Christmas. So far everyone I've recommended it to hasn't stopped using it. I also carry this with me in my bag at all times. I'm about to order their Super Charge Overnight Moisture product for my flight next week.

Dr. Jart Cicapair Tigergrass Treatment - My friend Liz (she has an amazing leather line, check it out here) recommended this stuff and I'm obsessed! It instantly gets rid of redness to the point of my being able to skip foundation.

To remove make-up at night: This coconut oil or Simple Micellar Water or both followed up by Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate

Also, if you have trouble getting to sleep, this treatment from Tata Harper is amazing. It may seem like a lot for a small roller ball but I find it to be instantly relaxing. If you don't believe me, one of my favorite publications, The Cut, wrote an article about it here.

Kiehls Undereye Treatment- This stuff is great and treats undereye circles and works as a light concealer. I'm always self conscious about my eye circles and was constantly trying to find products to treat them effectively and this one has been a game changer.

Chanel concealer- I usually layer this over the Kiehl's undereye concealer if necessary (aka most days). The Kiehl's product is a treatment and concealer and I like to have the security of wearing just a plain concealer over it.

Anastasia Brow Powder- If there's one thing I do everyday, it's fill in my brows. I've been using this stuff since high school.

Glossier Boy Brow- I use a little of this after I fill my brows in to make them look a little more 'finished'. Also, if you use this link you can get 20% off and free shipping on

Btw, I don't use foundation but I do use this to smooth and give my skin an even looking tone.

Chanel Color Stick

This is a bronzer-type product, but for pale people like me who look orange after using a regular bronzer. It also comes in some more blush-like shades for those of you looking for a rosy glow.

Stila Convertible Color- True story: I discovered this product after reading an article about beauty products used by the Olsens. Apparently their makeup artist uses the lilliim and peony shades and those are the ones I've purchased time and time again. They also come in cute little compacts that are super easy to travel with.

Bobbi Brown Mascara

So I'm really not an eye-make up person but I have made room in my everyday routine for a little mascara. Due to wearing contacts, I find that most mascaras really irritate my eyes but this one has been great. If I ever need a full on look with eye shadow and everything for a formal event, I usually get my make up done at Sephora or a department store.

Tata Harper Illuminating Moisturizer -  I had a decent sized sample of this stuff that I used for about 6 months and I recently broke down and bought a full sized bottle with a Sephora gift card I got for Christmas. It gives you a fresh, dewy glow and the ingredients are all natural. One of my goals for this year is to have a mostly natural beauty routine by the end of the year. I layer this over the rest of my products at the end of my routine.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana White perfume oil- I splurged for the big bottle after buying the smaller one for travel last year. A little goes a long way, though so not a bad idea to start with the smaller size.

Also, I use this perfume at night.

and always a lip color- currently loving this one, this one and this one.
