New York Minute: My Quick Trip to the City and What I learned at Instagram

As some of you may know from following me on instagram, I recently went to New York for a 4-day trip and spent a few hours at Facebook/Instagram HQ. I had so much fun meeting other bloggers and learning more about the platform we all use daily! I have been getting DM's nonstop since I posted my visit on my stories and wanted to condense all of my advice into a post for everyone :) First, though, a little about my look:

On The Road: Recap of My Recent Travels

I recently took a road trip from Los Angeles (my home) to Portland, Oregon with my sister and had an amazing time. A Week in ATL: Outfits & Highlights

[show_shopthepost_widget id="3032255"]Visiting a place you used to live is always bittersweet.  Living in Atlanta- my birthplace and where I spend the first year of my life- at age 21 was so much fun. I'm glad I got to finish college there, make new friends and give my pup Gigi lots of outdoor space.

When I turned 23, I knew it was time for me to move. I'm happy I did, but Atlanta will always have a piece of my heart. That being said, the only thing I absolutely do not miss about Atlanta is the winter weather. L.A. has turned me into a major wimp about cooler temperatures.

A little about what I was up to in ATL: My trip was mostly for fun to see my sister, friends and meet up with my boyfriend for the last weekend I was there. Whenever I head back to ATL, I try and make a list of all the new restaurants I want to try and the places I've been before and need to go back to. As far as shopping goes- I went to Neiman's to shop their end-of-season sale, but was mostly excited about going to local consignment stores because their prices are so.much.better. than L.A.'s.

[show_shopthepost_widget id="2874191"]Went to San Diego last weekend for a much needed getaway. Sharing some pics from my trip (above) and my packing list. Since my trip was roughly 72 hours, I didn't need much. I tried to pack pieces that were easy to mix and match and neutral colors- a hard thing for me to do but I was able to bring color into the mix through my accessories. I asked you all a few weeks ago on my instagram stories if you wanted to see my packing lists when I travel and an overwhelming majority of you said yes so here's what I brought with me:
