#JETAPORTER: Planning the Perfect Getaway Looks with Net-A-Porter

To me, the perfect vacation spot is equal parts beach and city. This is probably why I always gravitated towards Los Angeles before I finally moved here two years ago. Living in Los Angeles can be a bit like a vacation at times- I can walk to the beach with my dog in the morning and breathe in the salty air but still  be surrounded by the motion of a big city as I head downtown for a coffee date later in the day.

As a Westside resident, I tend to go for more casual pieces on a day-to-day basis. Graphic tees have become a wardrobe staple for me, but I love more upgraded versions like this one. Venice is my favorite part of the Westside. Nothing will make you feel more like a Californian than eating brunch at Great White and watching surfers bike to the beach. This tee emblazoned with "HI. I don't Care, thanks." perfectly captures the carefree attitude of Dogtown.

Net-A-Porter's vacation shop is filled with beautiful clothing for both occasions. I've always thought of living in California as an excuse to wear bright and bold colors and this kimono is no exception. It is the perfect beach cover up but can also be worn as a dress with platform sneakers.

By the way, the most important accessory when you're in L.A. is sunglasses- pack a playful heart-shaped pair and a classic black cat-eye for more versatility.

Anyone visiting Los Angeles should make sure to visit the east side of town as well. A walk down Rodeo Drive and cocktail by the pool will make anyone feel like they've been transported to Old Hollywood, but it's important to dress the part, too.  The draping on this polka dot Rosie Assoulin top makes it perfectly fitting for breakfast at the Beverly Hills Hotel and this wicker backpack can be paired with it to create the perfect uptown getaway look.

Whether you're traveling the world or having a staycation, Net-A-Porter has a wide range of clothing and accessories for any occasion.Shop all these looks below.
