Pastels, Plastic, and Prabal.

Prabal Gurung's show was one that made the Fashion world do what it rarely does: wait. When all the models walked out simultaneously, confusion ensued. Being someone that is usually late, I was (for once) on time, and started to question whether or not there had been some sort of secret show earlier (FYI, there wasn't) and this was just a recap. Models lined up like soldiers and poured out of the plastic casing on the square shaped space like presents being unwrapped. Much like candy, the clothes were pastel and had a hard edge once viewed out of the casing. The new interpretation of camouflage included a sweater with lavendar and a small splash of red, but the standout piece was the coccoon coat lined in yellow. The green rosette dress worn with orange lipstick makes me want to rush to Sephora andi forget dark, wintery shades altogether. As for my outfit (far less exciting than what was on the runway, I know), I seemed to forget that it is not yet Fall weather here and wore a blue sweatshirt and breezy, checked skirt with chunky mules that required me to buy flats later while in SoHo. I also wore a backpack, which often made me think I'd lost my bag (out of sight, out of mind).
